Garbage

Waste Management picks up the garbage for residential customers within the city limits of

New Haven.  The cost for garbage collection is $8.20 a month.  This charge is included on your

Water & Sewer bill.  If you live outside the City limits, you will need to contact the Nelson County

Landfill at 348-1876, to set up your garbage collection service. Garbage is picked up early

Friday morning.

RECYCLING TRAILER

In September , 2008 the County delivered a brand new recycling trailer to the City of New Haven.

The trailer is located in the City Parking lot on School Street.  The City of New Haven encourages

everyone to take advantage of this Trailer.  Recycling is very important for the future of our kids!!

You can recycle Plastic, Cardboard, Mixed Paper, Newspapers, Magazines, & Aluminum Cans.

The trailer is emptied once a week.  Please teach your kids about the recycling process.
