In 1990, the Kentucky Railway Museum relocated in New Haven on property donated to

them by Louis & Chester Sims.  The Kentucky Railway Museum draws approximately

Abbey of Gethsemani

Since 1848, when 44 Trappist Monks from the Abbey of Melleray in western France

made themselves a new home in the hills of Central Kentucky, Gethsemani has been

a hardworking community.  Supporting themselves at first by farming, the monks now

depend on their mail-order sales of homemade fruitcake, cheese and bourbon fudge. 

The Abbey is located at 3642 Monks Road, Trappist, KY  40051-6102.  For more

Lincoln Boyhood Home

In 1811, the Lincolns moved to a Farm on Knob Creek.  Abraham's earliest memories

was this home.  The Knob Creek is located 4 miles south of New Haven.  Please visit

Maker's Mark Distillery

Maker's Mark is the only operating distillery in America to be designated a National

Historic Landmark. Originally built in 1805 as a gristmill distillery, it became the home

of Maker’s Mark in 1953. Today, it is the oldest operating distillery on its original

site.  Makers Mark is located about 15 miles East of New Haven in Loretto, KY.
