If you have recently moved or are planning on moving to the City Limits of
New Haven, you may find some information on this page that will be helpful
to you.
To obtain Water & Sewer Service, you will need to go to the New Haven City Hall,
located at 302 Center Street and provide the information of your new residence along
with a $100 deposit. Your water service will be connected the same day that you put
down a deposit, usually within an hour.
You will find an Ordinance below explaining when you will receive your deposit back.
Your Garbage service will also be taken care of through City Hall. Waste Management
actually will be the Company that will pick your garbage up, but City Hall will bill for
them on your Monthly Water & Sewer Bill. The Monthly charge for Garbage Service
is $8.20. Your garbage will be picked up very early on Friday morning.
You will need to contact Bellsouth@1-888-757-6500 to get your phone connected.
If you are interested in Cable Service, you will need to call Time Warner Cable.

Time Warner Cable & Bellsouth both provide High-Speed Internet.
Your Electricity Company will be KY Utilities. You can contact them at
1-800-981-0600.

ORDINANCE TO AMEND DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
ORDINANCE 403
SERIES 2008
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 334 SERIES 1999, AND ADOPTING AS
AMENDED THE ORDINANCE RELATING WATER DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS.
Be it required that the City of New Haven Board of Commissioners, New Haven, Kentucky, that:
Section I: Refund of Deposit. The deposit shall be refunded to the customer after two years,
provided that all bills are paid by the twentieth day of the month fifteenth day of the month, For
clarification, renters will not receive refunds until service is cancelled.
Section II: Disconnection for Non-Payment. When a customer has more than one meter in their
name and one of the meters is disconnected for non-payment, then all meters are subject to
disconnection.
Section III: Meters on Vacant Property. When a property becomes vacant due to damage (fire,
storm, etc.) the meter on said property will be pulled. When property (with house) remains vacant
for a period of six months, meter will be pulled upon (10 day) notification to owner. When a meter is
pulled for inactivity, a new deposit of $100 shall be required in order to resume service.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect following publication as required by law. Any ordinance
or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
